We may lament our grief and pain
Sometimes we wander to a very dark lane
The trials and challenges exhaust us now
Solutions, resolutions? We ask, how?
The path seems to only be more steep
Our anxiety and concerns rob our sleep
Then we remember there are others nearby
With open hearts and discerning eyes
All we had to do was reach and ask
‘Twas not a difficult, demanding task
Sharing our hearts in new ways
Lightens the burdens of our days
Giving, receiving, two-way street
Opens friendships, real and sweet
For all we know, these friends were only waiting
To share with us, their own hearts breaking
Look up, wake up, look around
Deep relationships can be found
Magical synergy can now reveal
God sent these friends, to help us BOTH heal
Love and friendship entwine with our soul
God’s love is what makes us whole
