Treasures Along the Way

Looking out the window, I realized there was a whole world of magic just in that one scene-
There were small, thin leaves that moved with every little breeze and there were thick ones that stayed still and close to each other
The light affected each one differently and changed the colors and shimmer throughout the day

I knew there was a world of other creatures in this little space, that I couldn’t even see
Then I saw a plump and glorious male cardinal in the midst of this scene-Oh, How beautiful he is!
What kind of work and play was going on there outside my window?
I feel it is all intertwined in its purpose-the living and thriving happening there,
And it made me ponder our world

All around us are others who I am sure are not accidentally placed in our sphere
I was inspired by this wonderful view and knew it was time to reflect
It is there all the time, and often goes unnoticed!
But today, I stopped, took it in and was filled with gratitude for what I could see!
I felt I should ponder on this lesson here-
Telling me to take time to appreciate all living things and God’s children all around me
We are all connected on this beautiful earth
We really are brothers and sisters in this place
This truth vibrates in my soul and my spirit is enlightened once again,
To go forth into this sometimes troubled world and share this light
I now feel
It is sublime to reach into the Divine
It leads me to compassion and love for all those around me
How I wish I could share with everyone, this eternal view!
