Some words last forever
Words of prophets and sages
Continue on through the ages
We imagine we are unimportant
That our words matter not at all
But they lift someone up, when they fall
Watching our words every moment
Could be more critical than we can see
For your words deeply affected me
I remember your love and kindness
Your words were a healing balm
Which changed my storm into calm
So, indeed our words can reach
Into the souls of those in pain
Like a summer’s refreshing rain
