Who do we really want to please?
This question brings us to our knees
Search our hearts with sincerity
We will find the truest clarity
Changing our hearts needs constant work
It’s a task we cannot shirk
Shortsightedness, narrowness wants to creep in
Wiggling its way under our skin
Look inside and kick it out
Gone with all its ugly doubt
Doubt that we can be much more
Sweep it away from the dusty floor
Clean and pure the slate can be
Shining, radiant like the open sea
Seeing the eternal view
Reveals what we already knew
We are children of the Divine
With a perfect, beautiful design
