Everything seems upside down
Each and every scene turned around
Look over here, not over there
Camouflaged, hidden, with great care
Stories to incite anger and fear
Bringing to many red-hot tears
Where is the rabbit pulled out of the hat?
Why is the magic show falling so flat?
When will the race swiftly come to an end?
What is the message the children can send?
Beware of the sharp curves and cliffs up ahead
Look for those warnings, so deftly said
Lost in the mundane and trivial tattle
We lose sight of the most crucial battle
Pay no heed to the flying trapeze
Or the threats of some new disease
They’re very skilled in their deceptive arts
Not worried about destroying our hearts
Hold on to the truth and never despair
Despite all the alluring and flashy fanfare
Ignore the platitudes, shallow and trite
Instead let your mind finally take flight
Search for the truth, ponder and pray
You will then see a bright and clear day
