Treasures Along the Way

Hang in there, keep that smile
it will get better in awhile

Keep trying to look up  
you’ll soon see your overflowing cup

Gratitude changes everything to light
don’t let darkness win the fight

Count your blessings, many there are
helps you see sun, moon and stars

Wonderful family and friends
sharing their love that never will end

Flowers, blue skies and majestic trees
Rippling rivers and deep, magical seas

Fascinating creatures big and small
Valleys green and mountains tall 

Life is a journey like no other
As we walk beside every sister and brother

Trials, loss, sickness and pain
You can choose bitterness or gain

Lessons learned or hardness of heart
Giving more love or standing apart

Love, faith and hope are waiting there
Inside, for you to continually share

Don’t give up or ever give in
deep inside you know you can win

Pray on, hope on, always believe
He is there with you as you grieve

He is there in your most vicious pain
Healing, refreshing like a summer rain

Though it may take time to see
If you're anything at all like me

But, eventually the light will come 
And fill us up completely when all is done
