We hear of sailing into the blue,
Dreaming of places where there are only few-
What if we could slip into the clear, blue sky?
Reaching, climbing as we fly!
Embracing fluffy clouds we already knew
In this deep, vast, lovely blue
The memory of the silky, liquid blue-
Cooling, relaxing, shedding tensions too-
Dispelling summer scorch and burn-
From all our worries, away we turn.
Grandmother’s loving hands have made
Blueberry turnovers and lemonade.
Cerulean, azure, baby blue,
Cornflower, navy, turquoise, too.
Crayons green, blue and red,
Fairytales, mysteries fill our head.
Dear Blue, how I see you,
In her eyes, and in my skies
Floating, dreamily off to sleep,
Slipping, diving, into blue deep
