Dumbo, Pongo, Dorothy, and Me

Come with me to a magical place,
Some far away time that nothing can erase.

Where is that passageway I once knew?
They were real, colorful as me and you.

The first one came by the stork they said,
Dumbo with big ears on his head.

Remember innocent Snow White?
We hoped the apple she would not bite.

Dorothy, flying through the air!
Lion, Scarecrow, Tin Man were there.

Hunted by a wicked witch so mean,
With flying monkeys and skin so green.

Pongo, Roger, puppies galore,
Evil Cruella wanted even more.

Why were they all so perfectly real?
Synapses, neurons, what did you steal?

Is there an unknown corridor,
Unleashing imagination of childhood lore?

Hoping, dreaming there might be
Mysteries, adventures still inside of me

Flying through the spectacular sky,
On a big, fluffy cloud I lie!
