Treasures Along the Way

I saw a word pass by
It seemed important
And immediately it began to fly

There was a beautiful song
Its cadence was so magical
It stayed on and on

A child smiled my way
the effect was so deep
oh, how I wish she could come and stay!

I saw an unusual kindness spread
They didn’t even realize
Where this simple deed led

Fleeting, these all might seem
Unnoticed by most
But, how much it actually did mean!

May I share and give so freely
Never holding back
Gifts others will hold dearly
