Treasures Along the Way

the longing is impossible to ignore

We must go to that wonderful place-
place of poetry, inspired music and art
for it fills the void
of everyday life

We are thirsty for something beyond this realm

Don’t ignore your soul’s longing for beauty
amidst the chaos

stop, take the time to renew your empty well
fill yourself with power and simplicity side by side

reach through that dark place
climb out the other side

you will probably light someone else’s way
as you seek the Light inside your own spirit

Don’t give up-
reach for those stars
ponder upon the moon
soak up the sun’s warmth
observe the graceful bird in flight

you are one with such splendor
the beauty is all around you
and in you
Stunning and rare, you are
