Treasures Along the Way

Walk with me as we explore,
Filling our senses, wanting much more

Glistening spring leaves; fragrant, flowing grass,
Lush, deep meadows, sunlit like glass

Leprechauns, cucumbers, pickles and peas,
Parakeets, parrots, turtles, green seas

Oregano, olives, clover, and pears,
Kiwi, moss and some people’s hair

Tiny tree frogs, fairways and money,
Easter time with green marshmallow bunnies

Emeralds, ferns, forests and fish,
Grasshoppers, mint, grapes in a dish

Dragons, crocodiles, star fruit and melon,
Avocados, salad, lime pie from Miss Helen

Blue, green and white calm our mind’s eye
God chose these colors for land, sea and sky

Green gives us rest, enlightens our mind
Breathe in, breathe out, enjoy and unwind
