Colored by Becky Hull
Who is she?
Some say she came from far, far north
Or a dream from ages ago brought her forth
There’s magic all around her presence
Could it be an unearthly essence?
The lifetimes of nature’s bounty kept her hidden
Until she, from the forest was bidden
The trees envelop her in autumn splendor
A scene only love can engender
The unusual bird is hers alone
From anyone else, away it had flown
Fairy tale or true, we do not know,
From stories of so long ago
It matters not to all who share
in the deep secrets of colors rare
For we all know they are real
Even when they try to conceal
Even when we cannot see
Their beauty brings peace and serenity
The conflict and danger fade away
Revealing a bright and hopeful day
The colors erase all the strife,
Giving a new and radiant life
Grace and beauty fill every space
Lifting us all in their embrace
Calling all explorers there
Filling them with sparkling air
Weary travelers find this place
In an infinite time and space
Filling all their senses to the core
Rest, Rest, toil no more!
